Veliaj denies the connection with the Tirana landfill from the media that attacked SPAK prosecutors for the incinerators

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj

Former deputy prime minister Arben Ahmetaj named the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj as the de facto owner of Tirana.

But in one of his appearances 3 days ago, Veliaj mentioned Ahmetaj's name to threaten Prime Minister Edi Rama.

These statements were mentioned this evening on the television of the incinerators, but Veliaj claimed that he has nothing to do with the Tirana incinerator.

He stated from the media that attacked SPAK prosecutors for the incinerators that the only thing that connects him with the Tirana incinerator is the sending of garbage to the landfill.

"The only thing that connects me with the incinerator of Tirana is that the municipality of Tirana takes the garbage to the beam", said the mayor of Tirana./ CNA
