The vice-president of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, threw accusations at the majority during a statement with journalists about the mandate of former minister Olta Xhaçka.

Bardhi said that Xhaçka was protected by the majority and by Prime Minister Edi Rama, after he claimed that the former minister is dragging the head of the government to prison with her.

He also made an appeal to the international community, while declaring that in cases where the decision of the Constitutional Court is being discussed, we are dealing with a justice of the state party.

"I am here to clarify the strategy of the majority in this matter and secondly to denounce the political protection that Rama is doing to Xhaçka. When voting for the Port of Durrës, or to give money to the oligarchs, they have group discipline, while in this case they have decided that the deputies will be free to vote.

This is the only case when no deputy can vote as he thinks, because it is the Constitutionalist who dictates it to us. They didn't even have the courage to make a decision. Rama has not signaled what will be done and it was not understood what they will decide.

I have an appeal to the international partners who have advanced the Justice Reform, if the Parliament of Albania in 2024 were to discuss the decisions of the Constitution, then we cannot talk about new justice, but we have returned to the justice of 40 years ago. I ask them to monitor what has happened in 1 year and 3 months and what is being prepared to implement.
