Çuçi reports to Santos: We are in dialogue with the opposition

The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, Bledi Çuçi, today welcomes the reporter for Albania in the European Parliament, Isabel Santos, in a meeting.

"We discussed the advancement of Albania's integration process towards the EU and the necessity of raising the role of the Assembly to another supervisory level of the negotiations. I informed him about the new platform of political dialogue with the opposition within the Law Commission as a mechanism to discuss laws that require a qualified majority", says Çuçi.

Further, during the meeting, he also appreciated the return of the opposition to normalcy, putting an end to the 4-month chaos in commissions and plenary sessions.

"The return of the opposition to normality is a good signal after several months of chaos and non-European behavior. We are committed to continuing with the reforms and taking advantage of this new moment of the EU enlargement process", said Çuçi, among other things./ CNA
