The secretary of the legal department in DP, Çlirim Gjata, has described as political and hypocritical the arrest of the acting mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro.

Gjata said that the arrest was made to cover up Prime Minister Edi Rama, former minister Olta Xhaçka and the latter's husband, Artan Gaçi.

He raised the claims in a TV show that the alienation of property is by political order and the handcuffing of Goro is the same as the shooting of Enver Hoxha's friends.

"His arrest was political and hypocritical to cover Rama and MP Xhaçka and her strategic investor husband. This is typical of how Enver Hoxha acted, who shot his friends when things happened that he could not handle, this is what Edi Rama is doing since corruption and inequality are getting worse and worse in this country, so much so that we have a slap in the face for the prime minister when the EU opened negotiations with Bosnia, while he did not even mention Albania.

The arrest is typical as with Arben Ahmetaj or others who have been removed from the government by Rama. He overstepped procedures, knowingly doing so is not mere dereliction of duty. It is like a forgery, which is not done without reason. There is corruption and political order. It cannot be done without a political order, there is no elder who implements the political order without taking the money. This is the hypocrisy of SPAK here, which leads everyone to misuse their duties just to wash their mouths", emphasized Gjata./ CNA
