Former prime minister Sali Berisha's lawyer, Genc Gjokutaj

The lawyer of the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Genc Gjokutaj, opposed the decision of the Appeal of GJKKO to not allow the leader of the DP to participate in the plenary sessions.

Gjokutaj said that they will not accept this decision in an absolute manner, while he asked that Berisha be treated as an ordinary person regardless of his mandate.

"Today's decision decided to dismiss our request. Today, the violation of the Constitution was also confirmed by the Appeal. These are eyes that don't see and ears that don't hear, directed. We want Berisha to be released, because there is no charge and there is no evidence . These have put their bodies in order to keep the system standing. This court, with its decision, distanced itself from the law and the Constitution. It does not accept SPAK, nor the expertise, nothing. This is a rip-off and deviation," stated the lawyer, among other things./ CNA
