Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku

In the municipality of Mati, the ICT Innovation Center has been set up, a space dedicated to technology, offering the children of this municipality the opportunity to develop training and gain knowledge in three profiles, design, coding and robotics.

80 students from the municipality of Mati have registered in the first phase of this school, thus showing a high interest in being part of this center.

Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and the Mayor of Mati, Agron Malaj, closely visited the innovation center, where the students presented some of the work they had done.

Deputy Prime Minister Balluku said that the field of technology is receiving more and more attention, so it is important for young people to expand their knowledge in this sector, as she assured that the support for this center will continue.

"This is a worthwhile project. A project where the children benefit, but, as I have always said, you and Mati are also talented by nature, I have the impression that I have known many boys and girls who are very talented in terms of computer science, who are and the future of the country. You know that we have started digitizing all processes, starting from the services that are taken online and then also the courses that you do after school hours, but also at school", said Balluku.

The Deputy Prime Minister further appreciated the Municipality of Mati for all the work it is doing for the absorption of programs and projects financed by foreign donors.

"The program will continue. On the other hand, the municipality of Mati has a very good absorption of foreign funds, as is also the case with the funds that you have absorbed not only for the center, but to renovate the entire palace of culture. So I believe that the programs will continue and moreover will be increased and with all this participation that you have and the motivation to go forward, I am very sure that the donors will visit you every time and look at the participation of children and the commitment of teachers will definitely support you. Of course, the same with regard to the government", added Balluku.

The students of the ICT Mat Innovation center demonstrated some of the work they have done, thanks to the knowledge gained in this center./ CNA
