The member of the presidency of the Democratic Party, Grigels Muçollari, has reacted to the decision of the Appeal of GJKKO, which did not allow former Prime Minister Sali Berisha to participate in the plenary sessions.

Muçollari describes the decision as arbitrary and in violation of the Constitution, as he emphasizes that the mandate of the deputy cannot be limited by the court.

He claims that the GJKKO Appeal has taken a political decision, with the intervention of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

"Justice took another arbitrary decision, going above the sovereign, above the Constitution. Sali Berisha is elected by the people to be a member of parliament. The mandate was given by the citizens, and it is beyond any imagination that a prosecutor would violate, reduce, or limit this Constitutional right, based only on suspicions, in a process without evidence, and where the leader of the Democrats has not even been taken defendant.

This is a completely political security measure. And there is no way to be otherwise, since it makes no legal sense and is an absurdity in terms of jurisprudence.

Edi Rama's control over SPAK and the court was confirmed once again. Taking all the powers and persecuting the opponent is a characteristic of an autocratic ruler. Democrats and citizens should not be discouraged by this moment. On the contrary, it begs for more motivation, more courage of the center.
