Handcuffs shake for Beqaj/ Rama removes him from the negotiating group with the EU

Prime Minister Edi Rama has removed the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, from the negotiating group with the EU.

The decision was taken at the last meeting of the Council of Ministers.

Beqaj's departure comes at a time when SPAK has investigated the former minister for another issue.

Beqaj is under investigation for the abuse of the sterilization tender, as well as that of check ups.

Recently, SPAK raised suspicions that he passed a law that favored pharmaceutical companies while he held the office of Minister of Health.

For this matter, the National Bureau of Investigation and the police conducted checks a day ago at the "Delta Farma" pharmacy, but also at several other pharmacies mainly located in Tirana./ CNA
