The member of the Presidency of the DP, Grigels Muçollari, has commented on the political situation in the country.

Referring to the protests in the Assembly and the decision that is expected to be taken for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Muçollari writes that the leader of the opposition, who has denounced every affair and scandal of the 10-year-old "Rama" government, is being attacked as a family by all powers. , the executive, the legislature, the judiciary and the media.

The member of the Presidency of the DP, Muçollari, has called it an unequal battle between the powers and free speech.

"Words that kill regimes. Albania remains the country of slogans and pompous congresses. The all-powerful party chose the slogan of the communist regime of East Germany, the place where border "violators" were shot and where even today this part of Germany cannot catch up with the pace of development of the West. "Always forward, never backward," said Erich Honecker, former head of East Germany's State Council, who ruled that country from 1971 until the fall of the Berlin Wall.

What does our society aspire to, the East or the West? Who does Albania resemble today, Germany or Turkey? Austria or Russia?

A year and a half away from the general elections, the leader of the opposition, who has been vocal about every affair and scandal of the 10-year-old Rama government, is being attacked by all powers, the executive, the legislature, the judiciary and the media. His service as an uncompromising opposition is trusted by hundreds of thousands of voters.

Apparently we are dealing with an unequal battle between powers and free speech. I say free speech because it is the only power the opposition has. And when they want to take that away from him, then anyone with two minds in his head would think that there is no talk here of just closing one's mouth", writes Muçllari.

Among other things, he has not spared even Lulzim Basha, the head of the Democratic Party of Vula, who, according to Muçollari, has put himself at the service of the government and for the latter, his cards are enough. For Muçollari, Basha is an opposition figure.

"For the first time in the history of policy-making, a de jure deputy of the "opposition" (Lulzim Basha) demands prison for the deputies who cannot provide evidence against the government. But where can you find the evidence for the offshore companies that take refuge in the islands of the globe precisely to hide the evidence? Where can a dissident find evidence under a regime that imprisons the opposition leader, buys the media, controls the courts and the electoral infrastructure?

This is another service of the petty politician Luli, which is unlikely with Migjen's petty party. But that is not enough.

After prison, exile is also necessary. The deputy cannot exercise public functions for some time, until he is re-accepted in the bosom of the monist society. Well, this game with many powers is not done to keep a mouth shut, but to occupy the only space of freedom we still have, the floor of the Assembly, the synonym of free speech. They can surround it with barbed wire, they can make it a pit for the palace, they can remove it altogether because they don't need it. The government is satisfied with the cards of its MPs and the opposition tail from Luli. They pick them up, put them down and run off to have fun.

What is worse for a society than criminalizing free speech? I believe there is worse. To choose not to speak, to be silent, to live with the fear that the truth does not work.

"Free speech must be protected and encouraged. It kills the regime with its sound.
