Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha spoke in a meeting with the women of LDGSH about the situation in which the Parliament of Albania finds itself.
He says that the Parliament is barricaded in the hall with guards and that de facto it does not exist.
"The battle that took place these two months was a very successful battle. The parliament, as you can see, was shut down in 4 minutes. It has gone underground. It is locked in the hall with guards. De facto, it no longer exists and this is the outstanding merit of the members of the parliament. Second, their battle against me. In fact, this has been my battle against them. In fact, it was the battle of Sali Berisha against them. Because I forced them to follow every step in unconstitutional, illegal ways. Why did I force them? Because they are terrified. They are scared of the opposition that they no longer control," said Berisha.
He says that Rama is clear that he will no longer stay in power.
"Edi Rama is as clear as the sun that he can no longer stay in power. We must be real. Are there elections in Putin's Russia? Done, he has now announced his candidacy. Are there elections in Belarus? They are done. Are elections held in Myanmar? They are done. They are made in Venezuela. But the opposition does not win. No one thinks that Putin can win elections. No one believes that the military junta can be elected. It would be a big self-deception if we think that we can defeat Edi Rama by election. No! Never. It would be absurd if we think that on the day of voting we will grab weapons to kill, to annihilate criminals who do not allow voting," he said.
According to the historical leader of the Democratic Party, the Democrats will use any means to overthrow him.
"It would be unrealistic if we think that on voting day we will block the bags of money used to buy votes. We cannot do these things, but what we can do is the overthrow of Edi Rama. We will use every means of civil disobedience to overthrow Edi Rama. So I said a real turning point, a turning point in every man's decision, deciding to fight a dictatorship is a divine decision in its importance. But deciding to fight a dictatorship means defending the truth, ready for sacrifices, doing everything in its service. This is what this second time requires for us, for the overthrow of the second dictatorship. This requires each of you to do everything with all your circle, with all your acquaintances, because we have the most powerful weapon. Our most powerful weapon is the citizens, they are the right, the truth." , he said.
"We must mobilize all our potential to remove this enemy, which in terms of being is actually a more ferocious enemy than any dictator we have known to date. I thank you and I have a lot of faith in you, that in your contribution, you are the majority today. And we are not only a numerical majority, but also a qualitative majority. So, realistically, no one has more control over the fate of this country, this nation, its hope and its future than you," Berisha added./ CNA
