Decisions against Berisha/Bushati: Shadow process, politics and justice have
Andi Bushati

Analyst Andi Bushati has spoken about the removal of immunity from the Assembly of MP Sali Berisha.

In an interview for Syri TV, he said that the process initiated by SPAK against Sali Berisha is not convincing.

He says that it is a process that has left many shadows of doubt

"Today it was done, even more so when it comes to the leader of the opposition, today a 5-minute process was done, which turns the whole process into a shambles. There are many people who can say that it is the opposition's fault, they threw flaming chairs, but there is one more thing. All the procedures that have been done, from the way the Constitutional Court was conducted, the way SPAK was conducted, how those ridiculous lawyers were appointed, mainly, who were supposed to defend Berisha, but on the other hand appealed against Berisha, this process has left a lot of shadows doubt. Today's is more of a political punishment than a justice that will convince the opponents, but also the supporters of Sali Berisha, that he is being given a fair trial. When it comes to a politician of this magnitude, the process must convince everyone that he is fair, independent and clean in some way. Berisha should not be judged for what he represents. SPAK demands that the immunity of the deputy be removed from the former prime minister. There is a thing written textually, that your immunity is removed, the prosecutors must present evidence," he said.

Bushati made a site analysis of the actions taken by SPAK as well as by the Constitutional Court.

"And SPAK creates a whole spiral, just to not submit evidence to the deputies. What the Constitutional Court does is given for interpretation, an issue requested by a large number of opposition MPs. It must be said, does the fact that his freedom is restricted, his passport is taken, or is this 'ok' and not a violation, constitutes a violation of the MP's freedom. The Constitutional Court is absent and does not give a determination on this matter. Then it is requested that the issue of Berisha's arrest or not should not be judged by a judge in conflict of interest with Berisha. The Special Court rejects the request, despite the fact that Berisha once dismissed this judge as president, so she is in a conflict of interest. So it is all those elements, together with today's parliamentary session, that show that it seems as if politics and justice have come together to violate the rules that Berisha had to be hit. And he should have been hit as the leader of the opposition, and not as someone suspected of helping his son-in-law when he was prime minister ," Bushati said./ CNA
