The acting mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro, has denied rumors of his resignation from the position he currently holds.

In an exclusive statement for CNA, Jorgo Goro said he is continuing to stay in office.

"I don't know about the news, but I'm on duty," Goro declared without commenting on the media reports.

We remind you that since yesterday, news has circulated in the media that Jorgo Goro has resigned from the post as mayor of Himarë Municipality.

Likewise, Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke a few days ago about possible elections in the Municipality of Himara, which continues to be led by Goro, since the elected mayor, Fredi Beleri, did not take the oath due to his handcuffing two days before the elections. CNA
