"Completely for electoral reasons"/ Duka: TikTok was closed to protect the SP

The Chairman of the Agrarian Environmentalist Party, Agron Duka, reacted to the decision to close TikTok in a status on social networks.

The Duke writes that TikTok was shut down for electoral reasons and not for child safety.

 

" Tik-Tok was not shut down to protect children, but to protect the SP!"

The government has not resisted the reaction and criticism of citizens on social networks over its affairs. Just two months before the elections, it announced the closure of the massive communication platform Tik-Tok. After several warnings, it finally decided to close one of the most important channels of criticism against it. A platform that it cannot “advertise” through people it pays to serve as an army of “likes” or attackers on social networks. The government insists that it is protecting children by closing this platform, using as an argument some electoral meetings in schools, which it sells as consultations with parents. But the truth is completely different.

Children need to be protected from all platforms, but this is not done by closing them, or by closing only what you cannot control. We as PAA support every effort to create a healthy social environment for children and young people and we are for filtering and protecting children from dangerous products on social networks. But the closure of Tik-Tok is entirely for electoral reasons.
