Meetings with the Diaspora/ Berisha: It is clear that they support the DP

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a meeting with structures in Durrës, spoke about tachymeters with immigrants.

Berisha calls these meetings victories, referring to the enthusiasm and optimism he has observed.

The leader of the DP said that in meetings with immigrants he has noted the hatred they feel for Rama's government, but also optimism for the overthrow of this government.

It is now clear, said Berisha, that Albanians abroad support the DP.

"The work done by you, the branch leaders, the candidates, who honored the race created a great moral and numerical superiority in the support of the DP everywhere in Italy, Germany, the USA, Britain and everywhere. I think that, with our victory in the diaspora, in terms of a commitment, an enthusiasm, an unprecedented optimism, I guarantee you that I have experienced such meetings, except in the years 1990-1991. An unrestrained, indescribable enthusiasm of Albanian citizens abroad. And I have asked myself many times, why this, what happens to them? And the answer is only one: because they live in free countries and they understand better than everyone else what it means to persecute, to arrest for political motives, the leaders of opposition political parties. What it means to receive mandates won with the votes of the opposition. What does it mean to imprison young opposition MPs, just because they dare to tell Albanian citizens the truth?

They, more than anyone else, feel that Albania is not a country to be abandoned, but the current government made it so with the narco-state and the narco-dictatorship. So, in these meetings I have observed, let's say, hatred towards the regime, but also optimism and enthusiasm for its overthrow. And here, you have great merits, all of you who worked, all of you who engaged in dialogue, in conversation and invited them to contribute this time to the salvation of Albania. This constitutes a great advantage for the DP. This enthusiasm and this optimism has warmed the hearts of Albanians a lot. Now, it has become definitively clear that Albanians abroad support the DP, support the opposition as the only political force and forces for the salvation of Albania , "said Berisha./ CNA
