VKM/ Government approves the establishment of the Albanian Development Bank

The establishment of the Albanian Development Bank was approved at today's meeting of the Council of Ministers. The Council of Ministers was presented by the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, Delina Ibrahimaj, who listed the goals of establishing this institution.

Ibrahimaj said that the Albanian Development Bank will support small and medium-sized enterprises, digital infrastructure and exporters.

"It aims to finance the development of physical and digital infrastructure, support small and medium-sized enterprises, finance infrastructure projects and also support Albanian exports," Ibrahimaj said.

Ibrahimaj said that the Albanian Development Bank aims to increase competitiveness in European Union markets.

"It also aims to cooperate with EU international financial institutions that have funds available directed towards member countries and those in the process of joining the EU, with the aim of increasing productivity, competitiveness and facilitating entry into the EU market," Ibrahimaj/ CNA declared.
