According to the latest NATO Audience Research survey for the second quarter of 2025, Albanian citizens consider the North Atlantic Alliance as a key guarantee for the country's security.
According to the survey figures, 91% of Albanians would vote to remain in NATO in a referendum. This figure is well above the average of NATO countries, where 68% of citizens would vote to remain and 15% to leave.

Also, according to this survey, 63% of Albanians state that NATO is very important for Albania's future security, confirming the public's strong commitment to the Alliance.

67% of Albanians believe that their country should defend a NATO ally if it is attacked – another indicator of willingness to support the principle of collective defense.
78% of Albanian citizens believe that NATO membership makes a foreign attack on Albania more unlikely, marking one of the highest figures in the entire Alliance.

69% of Albanians support increasing defense spending, a much higher level of support than the NATO average (41%). Only 11% are against increasing the military budget.

Along the same lines, 73% of Albanians demand an increase in national defense production, to improve military capabilities and readiness, while only 6% are against.
Regarding the war in Ukraine, 55% of Albanians support continuing aid to Ukraine. Concern about the possibility of a war in NATO countries has decreased significantly: only 65% ??of Albanians feel concerned about this.

Albanians continue to be among the most loyal citizens to NATO, demonstrating a high level of security awareness and commitment to the values ??of collective defense. While international challenges continue, the survey confirms that for Albanians, NATO remains an irreplaceable guarantee of peace and stability.
