"Rama cannot order the municipal council"/ Koçi: It would be best if Veliaj resigned

Former Socialist Party MP Petro Koçi spoke in a television appearance about Prime Minister Rama's request to the Tirana municipal council to dismiss Veliaj, who is currently in Durrës prison.

Koçi said that Rama cannot order the municipal council.

Further, the former MP said that it would be best for Erion Veliaj to resign and for the citizens of Tirana to receive all services.

"Edi Rama cannot order the municipal council, the order is given in writing and not as a verbal suggestion. One should not confuse political directives with institutional orders. In my opinion, it would be best for Veliaj himself to resign, so that the citizens of Tirana could receive all services ," said Koçi./ CNA
