Spahiu: Reducing the number of MPs, a strategy planned by Edi Rama from the results of May 11

Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu commented today on the idea proposed by Prime Minister Edi Rama to reduce the number of MPs.

In a television appearance, Spahiu said that this idea is actually a strategy thought out and planned by Rama, since he saw the results of the May 11 elections.

Spahiu added that such a move would prevent other political movements from entering the Assembly.

"This is a thought-out and planned strategy since he saw the result of May 11. Rama has planned this deep victory to try to make constitutional changes and his strategy is unacceptable because it could have major consequences. The argument that he says he will save 40 MPs' salaries may convince some people, but by introducing a limited number of 101 MPs to make territorial redistribution. If this is done, it will be impossible to introduce other political movements. An attempt will be made to change the constitution and it was not just rhetoric", - said Spahiu./ CNA
