Democratic MP Bujar Leskaj was in Novosela, Vlora, this evening, which suffered extensive flooding this week due to bad weather.
During the meeting with residents of the area, Leskaj said that this is the case when natural floods are combined with government incompetence and corruption.
According to the MP, the situation is critical, while residents hope that the water level will drop.
"This is where natural flooding meets government incompetence and corruption. The Vjosa embankment has not been completed for years, and funds for drainage and sewerage have only been abused. Some residents have not yet received compensation for the damage caused by previous floods. The situation today is critical and we can only hope that the water level will drop," said Leskaj. /CNA
