"The state has allowed this kind of phenomenon"/ Teliti: Unauthorized

The Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party's Municipal Council in Tirana, Dorjan Teliti, commented today regarding the demolition of illegal constructions that has begun in the country.

In an interview on 'Syri TV', Teliti stated that illegal construction in Albania is being treated with double standards.

Teliti accused the government of allowing this phenomenon to occur.

"Two or three years ago, when buildings on top of buildings without permits were found, where entire buildings without permits were found. They didn't take the fadromas, they didn't pour oil on the fadromas, they didn't put Fatmir Meta and his friends to go and curse people from the roof of the house. They told him: put on your collar, your jacket, put on your perfume and let's sit next to him and negotiate to find a middle ground.

They sat down, negotiated, and the bylaws were drawn up, the relevant VKMs were made, and a solution was found. Even those who had violated the law paid, some more, some a higher price. We saw neither the slander, nor the strong, nor the insults, these lawbreakers of the strong were treated like lords. Even the day after tomorrow they benefited from other public tenders.

"Today, the municipal police go to ordinary people. This has been allowed and has become normal, even though there was no construction permit. The state has allowed this kind of phenomenon, you can't have a nice day without feeling the desire to take such measures, as is happening in Tirana and Theth," Teliti said./CNA
