Meetings with mayors/ Alizoti: Rama's courage stems from the theft of

The political leader of the Democratic Party in the Elbasan Region, Tomor Alizoti, has shared his position regarding the meetings of the prime minister with municipal officials in recent days.

Through a post on social media, Alizoti states that Prime Minister Edi Rama's courage stems from the power he received from the theft of the May 11 parliamentary elections.

Alizoti adds that the election theft is the catalyst for Rama's "political idiocy."

"All his power comes from the theft of the elections. Many political analysts try in studio and roundtable discussions to find the reason for the prime minister's irrational behavior. But every one of their theories, even the most conspiratorial, crashes into the wall of logic: what does the country or even the gang leader himself gain from these actions and speeches?

There is a very beautiful book, “Surrounded by Idiots,” which wonderfully explains Rama’s psychology. Among other things, the author tells of a meeting with the owner of a company. This, a big businessman, complains to the writer about his subordinates, calling them all idiots. And the author, after listening to him for a few minutes, asks: “Who hired these idiots?” Since that question, the big business owner and the writer were no longer friends.

This question alone would be enough to explain all the discourse and “political idiocy” that Edi Rama is producing these hot summer days. The similarity that Edi Rama has with that business owner that the author mentions is precisely the power that he exercises over his subordinates. Under normal conditions, where the law and the norms of the country's administration stem from the implementation of the Constitution, Edi Rama would never dare to behave as the owner of the judicial power when ordering the prosecution of prosecutors, or as a slave owner towards his mayors.

All the power, comparable to that of a company owner who hires and fires whoever he wants, he has gained through election fraud. It seems like a great effort, or an excuse for the inability to compete honestly. But in reality, election fraud is the catalyst for Rama’s “political idiocy.” Power stolen with extreme violence leads to irresponsible governance – to the point where, in the middle of the tourist season, armed conflicts are created in the eyes of foreign tourists; to the point where you are blinded by the towers in the center of Tirana and see only huts in the mountains; to the point where you mock, threaten and despise names and individuals that you yourself have appointed to the heads of municipalities or other institutions.

Stealing elections and absolute power only bring violence. They bring a lack of coexistence. That's why Rama today behaves like the owner of "idiots."

The question, under such conditions, is: What will the opposition do? It is a bit ridiculous to ask the opposition to defend the mayors appointed by Rama, who were not only "elected" under terrible political conditions, but were themselves at the forefront of the party's operation to steal the elections and re-elect Rama as mayor.

Under these conditions, "karma" is the best answer for them.

In Rama's government there are biological descendants of those who once passed from the villas of the Blloku to the huts of internment. No pity for them. The real problem is that the actions of the "owner of idiots" are leading the country towards autocracy. And there is no example in the world - no matter how much they try to justify themselves by those sponsored by China or Russia - that autocratic governance brings development.

"This is the primary duty of the opposition: to denounce the theft of elections, because they always bring irresponsible governance," writes Alizoti. /CNA
