DP leader Sali Berisha, in an interview with journalist Alex Newman, stated that since Edi Rama came to power, Albania has returned to the Republic of George Soros.

"Since Edi Rama came to power, Albania has become the only narco-state in Europe. At the same time, it has turned into the Republic of George Soros. Rama was brought to power by criminal gangs.
In 2015, Rama allowed the massive planting of cannabis throughout the country. Millions of dollars were generated from this illegal industry, and Albanians involved in this activity now control drug cartels in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia. These cartels are closely linked to the Rama government. A typical drug economy is flourishing in Albania, where construction is the main sector that keeps the economy “on its feet”, while industrial production and exports fall every year, Berisha said./ CNA
