In today's plenary session, the Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, requested that the vote for the Ombudsman be included on the agenda.

Noka said that before the elections it was agreed that the selection of the new name of the Ombudsman would take place after the elections.

" We agreed before the elections. Please respect the regulations. Put the vote for the Ombudsman on the agenda ," said Noka.

 

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, also spoke about this issue, accusing Rama of delaying the election of the People's Advocate.

Berisha said that the candidacy presented by the opposition, Besim Ndregjoni, even though he meets every criterion, is not accepted by the majority because he seeks to impose his candidacy.

Further, the leader of the Democrat Party has requested that the vote for the People's Advocate be held in today's session.

" The election of the Ombudsman is being postponed because your leader Ramaduro does not accept the candidacy presented by the opposition and because he meets every criterion. You seek to impose the candidacy through exceptions without any criteria. You are willing to postpone it for years and years.

"Let's vote today and close this matter. It is an institution, despite the fact that in drug states, institutions are multiplied by zero ," Berisha said./ CNA
