The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, said today that energy independence has been achieved in the country, thanks to efforts to diversify into solar and wind energy.

Balluku made the statement during her speech from the roundtable on the electro-energy system, where she focused on the achievements, challenges and measures taken to manage the tourist season.

"Efforts to diversify solar and wind resources demonstrate the sustainable system, according to the WEF. We have a 13.5% increase in energy security, from regional interconnections and interconnected sources. Independence from sources linked to atmospheric conditions was created.

The report validates the work on renewable energy and energy efficiency, giving us the opportunity to negotiate group chapters.
