"After 30 years, we reduced the price of energy"/ Balluku: We are at a

Minister Belinda Balluku spoke about the electricity system in Albania.

Balluku emphasized that rigorous work has been carried out on policies and reforms for this sector.

According to the minister, the work has also been appreciated by the EU, while emphasizing that Albania is at a crucial moment for membership negotiations.   

"After 30 years in the Albanian electricity system, we managed to reduce the price.

It is a 10.5% reduction in citizens' bills.

It should be said that in addition to infrastructure investments, the ministry team has done rigorous work on policies and reforms in the energy sector. It has also been appreciated by the EU, giving us the opportunity to follow up on the negotiating position of the Chapter 4 group.

This is a crucial moment on Albania's path towards the EU that allows us to continue to lower prices for citizens.

All this work places us with a great responsibility for fulfilling the commitments made for legal and sub-legal acts.

"We see that the results achieved in the last 5 years have begun to be recognized and appreciated internationally," said Balluku./ CNA
