Ilir Alimehmet "finds" live 27 votes that the DP counters had

Ilir Alimehmeti is a doctor. He became known to the Albanian public during the pandemic because he occasionally posted on Facebook materials published by the WHO, which he had previously translated into Albanian. That's all!

Then, doctor Alimehmeti began to appear more and more frequently on television talk shows on health topics, from which he began to create the image of a young man with ambitions in politics. He is not remembered for any debate he won, but simply for the calm and quiet style of the old tyrant.

When Ilir Alimehmeti was introduced to the public, he was no stranger to leader Berisha. Alimehmeti's parents are close friends of the Berisha family, so the promotion was not difficult for him.

This continued until, on the eve of the race for the Municipality of Tirana, he was voted in by the membership of the Democratic Party and was nominated as a candidate for the Municipality of Tirana.

Mr. Alimehmeti withdrew from this race with a personal decision without asking those who voted for him.

This was the first time that Mr. Alimehmeti put his finger in his voters' mouths.

The second time, Mr. Alimehmeti jumped into the open list race from Berisha.

It is this competition that has ended, but which is still being tried to be kept alive today by Alimehmeti on television.

All these days we have heard from Alimehmeti about vote theft against him and about rights that have been denied to him by the CEC and the Electoral College. Yesterday we were lucky enough for Alimehmeti to finally make public one of his much-hyped cases of personal vote theft.

And that one incident alone may be enough to reveal something about Mr. Alimehmeti's character.

Until the moment he was forced to produce the "evidence", Alimehmeti had spoken of it as being provided by the footage that he (or his team) had obtained from reviewing the camera footage of the voting process.

He presented what he had discovered, but that the CEC and the College did not want to reveal, as theft by the counting groups. Some people down there, (that Alimehmeti is up there), who had teamed up to steal his votes. He spoke about the obligations that the KAS had to find the evidence itself that Alimehmeti had, but did not publish, etc. etc.

After pleading and then being forced to produce even one document or concrete evidence, Alimehmeti produced a voting center report.

And by explaining what he had pulled out, the theft charges were dropped. According to the same Alimehmet, the counting group had correctly reported the result, but "apparently the operator had miscalculated the numbers."

It was about 27 votes that (the operator now, not the counters), had passed (erroneously now, not as theft), to another candidate.

Journalist Lorenc Vangjeli, part of the panel, apparently opened the CEC portal (accessible by everyone) and within 27 seconds, he published the correction that KAS had made in the recount process for that polling station. The 27 votes had been returned to Mr. Alimehmeti.

Alimehmeti therefore roams from counter to counter , accusing the Democratic Party's counters, the CEC, the Electoral College, anyone who has just learned his name, and others who he doesn't even know their names and doesn't have 27 seconds to verify on a public portal the fate of the 27 votes "stolen" through human error, of theft.

Alimehmeti was found yesterday live 27 votes from those that had been "stolen" by the DP counters. Alimehmeti himself did not even know about the existence and use of the CEC portal and this shows how interested candidate Alimehmeti is in the fate of his votes. It took a television counter to find 27 votes in 27 seconds.

In the end, what remains are lies and accusations against the DP counters, whom Alimehmeti shamelessly accused and then accused KAS of trying to protect them.

Amid a candidate who lies and accuses people from the Democratic Party, we remain on the side of the Democrats.

Alimehmeti, after lying to them twice and then being accused of being a thief, is invited to try again a third time. Who knows! Maybe they'll vote for him again!/ CNA
