Recount/ KAS Member: On Monday we will have a result or a conclusion to the process

KAS member, Koli Bele, has given a statement to the media regarding the vote recount process.

Bele said that the process will be concluded by the beginning of next week at the latest.

Further, Bele stated that in this process, KAS does not investigate the boxes.

If an investigation is needed for the boxes it will have to be done in a different process.

Bele stated that the recount is not intended to end with criminal charges for vote irregularities.

" At most on Monday we will have a result or a conclusion to the process."

The change in votes reflects more than 600 counted ballot boxes. This process does not investigate each box, they are recounted and the final result is released. In any case where there are major changes, it must be investigated in another process.
