The Deputy Mayor of Tirana Municipal Council, Dorian Teliti, commented today on the developments following the May 11 parliamentary elections.
In a television interview, Teliti stated that the will of Albanians in the elections was alienated in every way.
Teliti emphasized that the Democratic Party was not part of what he described as an electoral massacre.
"We did not use violence or the police, but it was the majority. We were not part of the electoral massacre. The Democratic Party called the police on May 11, but they did not come. We know very well how important international factors are in Albanian politics. Our duty is to make internationals transparent. Manipulations in the country of the world government would have fallen. I think that the OSCE-ODIHR report should be based on evidence and concrete facts. In the case of the diaspora, we do not have a real figure of citizens who voted in the May 11 elections.
The will of the Albanians was alienated in every way. Our expectation, the rejection of the elections by the ODIHR. The result gives a lot of voice to the electoral massacre", - said Telit i./CNA
