The elected MP of the Democratic Party for the Elbasan Region, Blendi Himçi, declared today that the May 11 elections were not an electoral process, but a form of abuse by the government.

In an interview on 'Syri Tv', Himçi said that the Democratic Party is determined to go all the way to exposing the electoral farce.

Himçi also commented on the processes of recent days related to the elections and reiterated the request for the re-evaluation of the ballot boxes.

"We are not in a position to recount, we are in a position to open the ballot boxes and re-evaluate the ballots. Because in the procedural aspect, it is an issue that the recount belongs more to the request of the candidates, while as a subject the DP has requested the invalidation of the elections. And on the basis of this request, we have requested the opening of the ballot boxes initially, and the re-evaluation of the ballot boxes. In fact, our part has been for two municipalities, for CEAZ 45 and 52, of the Municipality of Peqin and Gramsh. These film footages, which have shown us serious problems, in open violation of the electoral code. As you mentioned, the most various abusive forms, where there was not only a voting process, but also an election process. May 11 was an abusive form by the government using every form of instrument, be it the public administration, the state police, and every angle of criminal organizations, with the aim of distorting the citizens' vote. Unquestionably, we will go to the end of this situation, to unmask this electoral farce, which took place on May 11. On Tuesday, we opened the boxes of electoral materials, but also the boxes of ballot papers, and we found ballot papers that were considered valid by the counters, without seals or with a seal that were in favor of the SP. An unsealed ballot is exactly the start of the Bulgarian train process. What this means is that that stamped ballot paper has passed into the voter's first pocket, has been taken out and an unsealed ballot paper has been thrown in. If you watch the video, the DP commissioner offers him the ballot paper, he does not accept to withdraw the ballot paper, he takes orders only from the SP commissioners, does all the necessary procedures, gives his ID card, puts his finger on the PEI device and in the end he takes the ballot paper and puts it on top of the box, does not goes to the secret voting room at all. And he gives the ballot paper sealed with two seals to the chairman of the commission who is a representative of the SP, and leaves it there and goes away without voting. That is, a person who comes to vote and leaves the ballot paper there, means that this person has undoubtedly received something in return for doing this type of behavior. This is a form of a manipulated vote when the voter does not express his will, and hands over the unsealed ballot paper to the chairman of the commission, "said Himçi ./CNA
