Lajla Përnaska is registered with the CEC as a candidate for the Municipality of Tirana for the May 14 elections, under the PDIU logo.

A few days ago, Përnaska said that she is not part of PDIU. The head of this party, Shpëtim Idrizi, has also stated this.

In an interview with Denis Mingë, Idrizi stated that Përnaska is not a candidate of the PDIU, but carries the logo of his party after helping him to register in the elections.

"I come from a long acquaintance as a neighbor and in politics. We cooperated in the Council of Europe, she is a trained politician who wanted to be part of this race. It was her initiative and I agreed to support her for the registration, she also did the campaign herself, not with our structures. If we look today, we have the 2 main ones addressing each other and very little to the electorate.

In the meantime, the campaign has led to the blocks with the militants becoming a block, so it seems as if there is no contest that the militants will vote according to the party, the gray part that is very attentive to the programs will be passive and we will see it in the participation in the votes. It's very good to include as many actors as possible, we gave the opportunity for it to be a different voice", he emphasized./ CNA.al
