New parliamentary session/ The first session is held today, what is expected to happen

Today, the first session of the 11th Legislature of the Assembly of Albania takes place, resulting from the parliamentary elections held on May 11.

The session is expected to start at 10:00, while 140 deputies are expected to sit in the hall.

The SP received 83 mandates, the DP 50 mandates, the PSD 3 mandates, the Opportunity Party 2 mandates, the Albania Initiative and the Together Movement one mandate each.

Today, the majority is expected to propose the name of Niko Peleshi for Speaker of the Assembly. After the election, Peleshi is expected to deliver his speech as Speaker of the Assembly.

In the next session, Rama will present the new government to the Assembly, which will then be decreed and sworn in by President Bajram Begaj. /CNA
