Acting Foreign Minister Igli Hasani has reacted after the appointment of Elisa Spiropali to this post.

Today at the Socialist Party Parliamentary Assembly, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the new government cabinet, where Igli Hasani was one of the names that did not receive a ministry.

In his reaction, Hasani congratulated Spiropali and thanked Prime Minister Rama for the opportunity to lead the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

 

"For a diplomat, it is an extraordinary honor, but also a great responsibility, to lead the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. For the last two years, I have had this privilege, trying every day to see the work through the eyes of my colleagues and to support, with humility, the important service of the dignified representation of Albania and its interests in the world.

I have undertaken this task with the conviction that the only sustainable path is the strengthening of institutions and integrity, and that effective diplomacy is rooted in cooperation, restraint, and credibility.

"Thank you to Prime Minister Rama for the trust given and congratulations to Ms. Spiropali for this responsibility. Grateful for colleagues and partners, at home and abroad, who shared this journey," Hasani wrote in his statement./ CNA
