Berisha thanks Këlliçi: He did not give in to protests against Erion

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, thanked Belind Këlliçi today for his persistence in the case of the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, against whom protests continued for 46 weeks in a row.

In his speech during the parliamentary group meeting, Berisha congratulated Këlliçi, who he said continued the protest action against a thief and scoundrel like Erion Veliaj with his work.

"A character, whose name I won't reveal, 40 years ago told others that Enver and I don't know this.

He also told the sheep that this and that was happening, and expressed compassion for Erion Veliaj.

"First of all, I must congratulate the Tirana branch and Belind Këlliçi for not giving in to that thief, one of the lowest in Albania, whose name is Erion Veliaj, for 46 weeks," Berisha said. /CNA
