In the race as a candidate for the Municipality of Tirana?/ Alimehmeti for CNA:

The head of the Democratic Party's advisors, Ilir Alimehmeti, one of the main names from the Democratic Party for the Tirana Municipality race, has today expressed his position regarding the possibility of running for this position, while this Thursday Prime Minister Edi Rama nominated Ogerta Manastirliu, after demanding the dismissal of Erion Veliaj.  

In a communication to CNA, Alimehmeti stated that this is a decision that belongs to the Democratic Party and the procedures within the party.

Regarding his intentions for such a candidacy, Alimehmeti stated that this will initially be discussed within the DP and with the leader of the Democrats, Sali Berisha.

CNA: Would you agree to run against Manastirliu with the Democratic Party for the Municipality of Tirana?

Alimehmeti: Unquestionably, the DP knows about this. Nothing has been said, to my knowledge, within the DP in this regard. It will be discussed once within the DP and then.
