Prime Minister Edi Rama held a joint conference with Commissioner Marta Kos at the opening of the summit "Growth Plan, the Road to the EU".

In his speech, Rama said that the Western Balkans should not be a spectator, but a factor in Europe, and that is what they are doing.

The Prime Minister said that the Western Balkans are moving from danger to opportunity.

Rama further stated that the Western Balkans are not asking for alms, but are increasingly proving that they are ready to be part of Europe.

There cannot be a strong Europe and a weak Balkans, according to the Prime Minister.

 

" The Western Balkans should not be a spectator, it should be a factor and that's what we are doing."

Investors see a market, a workforce, and a geography in alignment with the EU.

The Western Balkans are moving from danger to opportunity. We are moving from the edges of the map to the center of our European history also through the economy. BP is not looking for honor, no one is calling to be rewarded with sweets. We are not asking for alms, we are proving that we are always ready. There is no option for a stronger Europe with a weaker Balkan region in its midst.

"Everyone knows, and Marta knows, that for your safety, choose a guy from the Balkans. We are the bodyguards of Europe ," Rama said./CNA
