"IMF, a slap in the face to fiscal peace"/ Xhaferri: A path is created

Democratic Party MP Besart Xhaferri has reacted after the declaration of the end of the IMF's autumn mission for Albania.

Xhaferri declares that the International Monetary Fund has slapped "Fiscal Peace" with a slap.

Xhaferri quotes the IMF and states that the Fund has called for caution regarding the increase in real estate loans as this is a government project to open the doors to drug trafficking and corruption money.

"IMF sees fiscal amnesty as a slap in the face of fiscal peace, urges banks to be careful with property loans due to narco-euro!"

Fiscal Amnesty was Edi Rama's project to open Albania's doors to drug trafficking money, which, along with the corruption money of this government's two terms, was injected into construction and tourism.

Edi Rama is the biggest beneficiary of the injection of drug trafficking money into construction and tourism, as he has a monopoly on construction permits in the country and has designed reference prices according to the interests of his clients.

At a time when the towers have remained stagnant, as the US has targeted drug cartels, Edi Rama approved in parliament the "Fiscal Peace Agreement", a scheme that creates a major path to reducing taxes for businesses that build towers or villa resorts.

Today, the IMF also reacted to the fiscal peace, speaking out against it with the argument that it risks damaging tax compliance, weakening the credibility of the audit system, and undoing the progress achieved in modernizing the tax administration.

The IMF has reiterated its calls for caution regarding the growth of real estate lending, which requires careful monitoring to assess their impact on systemic risk.

Edi Rama's project to criminalize the economy has killed entrepreneurship in this country, while due to the narco-euro, hundreds of exporting companies have faced significant losses.

"This government has no project to support those enterprises that suffered from the fall of the euro ," Xhaferri declares./ CNA
