The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, reacted today regarding the demolition of illegal constructions in Theth.

Through a video post on social media, Shehaj casts doubt that Prime Minister Edi Rama has a plan for Theth.

Shehaj accuses Rama of implementing the plan for Theth for himself and his friends.

"Thethi, in its entirety, could be worth 200, 500 or even over 1 billion euros. But the big problem is that the landowners in Theth, the residents of the area, are essentially the legal owners, but they don't have the documents. Even if they did, they couldn't build, because they need a permit, and the permit is only granted by Edi Rama."

A property only gains value when it has a building permit. If Edi Rama does not grant the permit, then the owners cannot enjoy their property.

The truth is that Edi Rama has a plan for Theth, just like he had for the south. But the real problem is that there is no place in that plan for the landowners in Theth.

"This is why today he is demolishing their buildings, stripping them of their property and excluding them from any development. Because Rama has a plan. And he will implement that plan for himself and his friends, as he did with the "small spots" of the Albanian coast, which today are no longer enjoyed by the landowners, but by Edi Rama's close friends," says Shehaj. /CNA
