Rama invites British MP Farage: Come to Albania, leave aside the theatrics for imprisoned Albanians

Prime Minister Edi Rama reiterated his invitation to British politician Nigel Farage to visit Albania in person, following the latter's statements regarding the number of Albanian prisoners in the United Kingdom.

In a radio interview for "Times Radio", Rama rejected Farage's claims and said that a visit to Albania would be an opportunity for Farage to see the country up close and put aside his theatrics.

"He has said that he will come for a visit and I will be very happy to see him. His plan is to come and make his incredible gesture and full of theatrical talent of politics. It will be a really great opportunity to meet a man who has a lot of talent, is very intelligent, to put aside his theatricality and also to show him how beautiful Albania is and to convince him to make Albania a place for his vacations", - said Rama.

A short while ago, British politician Nigel Farage stated that one in 50 Albanians in Britain is in prison.

After this, a series of responses and counter-responses followed between him and Rama, followed by numerous public statements and positions. /CNA
