DP MP Belind Këlliçi has stated that the corruption network in the Municipality of Tirana has opened a new chapter.

Referring to the Piranha investigation, Këlliçi emphasizes that one of the directors of 5D has been setting up a scheme for years to steal the coffers of the Tirana Municipality budget.

Këlliçi underlines that public spaces have been turned into market goods, taxes have been used as a weapon of blackmail, and hand-held envelopes have become the silent law of municipal inspectors.

"At the center of this corrupt scheme that has flourished for 9 years in a row stands Arli Naska, now former head of the Directorate of Local Taxes and Tariffs in the Municipality of Tirana. Exactly where revenues for public services were supposed to be collected, a parallel coffer of bribes and favors in exchange for votes was set up," says the DP MP.

"Renaissance 2.0, pumped up during the summer months by the prime minister, turns out to be simply an upgrade of the 5D scheme!"

The images and audio material published in the show "Piranhas" on Syri TV clearly show what the capital's residents have felt every day: public spaces have been turned into market goods, taxes have been used as a weapon of blackmail, and hand-held envelopes have become the silent law of municipal inspectors.
