"Rotten government"/ Zhulali: Rama's governance poses a risk to

International affairs expert, Ilda Zhulali, has assessed that Prime Minister Edi Rama's governance poses not only a serious problem for Albanian citizens, but also a threat to the security of NATO and the European Union.

According to Zhulal, the year that is ending began with the hope of free and fair elections, but this expectation was not realized. She emphasized that in his fourth mandate, Rama is clearly demonstrating what, according to her, has long been warned of - a rotten governance at every level, characterized by mismanagement of public money and a lack of institutional accountability.

The expert underlined that the consequences of this governance are not limited to the country, but also extend to the international level, undermining Albania's credibility as a partner in Euro-Atlantic alliances. According to her, the way public resources and state institutions are managed creates real risks for the stability and security of NATO.

Ilda Zhulali emphasized that Albania is at a critical moment, where a process is underway that aims to change the current government. She described this phase as an opportunity for a new beginning, adding that the country would have been much closer to membership in the European Union if 12 years had not been lost under the current leadership of Rama's government.

" The year we are leaving behind began with the hope of free and fair elections, but we failed to achieve this. Depending on this, today we are seeing that in his fourth government, Edi Rama is clearly demonstrating what we have long warned about: his government is rotten at every level. However, Edi Rama and his government no longer only pose a threat to every Albanian citizen; unfortunately, they have also become a risk to the security of NATO and the European Union.

This is related to the mismanagement of Albanian money and the risk that these officials are causing to the future of citizens who remain in Albania. In summary, Albania is in the middle of a process that aims to overthrow the current government. This is a moment that should be used for a new start, for a completely different Albania, which today would have had the opportunity to be a member of the European Union, if the 12 years spent in another direction had not been wasted , "said Zhulali./CNA
