"Great salvation for the QSUT"/ Rama inspects the works for Infectious

Prime Minister Edi Rama conducted an inspection this Wednesday at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center, where work continues on the construction of the Infectious Pediatrics Department from scratch.

Rama described the project as a great relief for the functioning of the QSUT.

According to Rama, parallel work on the new multifunctional parking lot with 1,400 spaces is also important, to transform the area into a park with hospital buildings.

"This is a great salvation. In fact, the Albanian Development Fund already has all the experience and has a very positive balance with these parking structures, because they are both profitable for the institution and for the fund as an investor. Of course, there is a division between those who are employees and who have special treatment, and those who come from outside who use it, and in the meantime there is also access from outside the hospital, but a parking lot is also made for the area. In a certain part of the structure, cars from the area are accommodated, which pay and become a revenue generator. The park project must be done in parallel, because this was the idea to transform the entire QSUT into a park. A park with hospital buildings, of course. All these parts that have been here for many years, should be requalified, reviewed with this in mind, and the entire road system itself should be reviewed with the eye that there are no more cars entering and leaving. There are only ambulances, there are dedicated lanes, then a part can be on cobblestones for pedestrians. To make something that really feels like you're going to a place to regenerate, not like you're going to the mall," Rama said. /CNA
