"We will continue with the transformation of QSUNT"/ Rama meets with

Prime Minister Edi Rama visited the Oncology Service of the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center. He also held a meeting with doctors, nurses, emergency medical teams and specialists.

At the meeting, Rama said that the Oncology Department at a certain point "lowered its head," while adding that patients are satisfied with the service they receive.

"Before coming here, we visited the oncology department, which, as we know very well, became a reason at a certain moment to bow our heads together in the face of facts that do not honor anyone. We met some patients who were very satisfied with the service and who seemed to be completely sincere in their words, and I was telling the director and the minister that the public is fed by great negativity about the health service from them and from those who, fortunately, have never received service at the hospital. Because if you ask those who have received service at the hospital, the vast majority, not necessarily all, the vast majority have received a service that they remember well, and they remember the doctors well, they do not remember them badly. And you know this very well, because you have patients who have come under your care and I am grateful to you, and I remember you well," he said.

During his speech at the meeting, Rama spoke about the new parking building of the QSUT, which he said will finally solve the problem of car movement and parking. He stated that the entire territory of the QSUT will become the largest urban park in Tirana.

"However, our job, yours here on the front and ours in your support, is to continue to address the problems and raise the level, because the good has no end, while the bad is quickly forgotten. Coming here, we were talking to the minister who had been in these territories many years ago, as a young doctor and was saying that "I sometimes have difficulty orienting myself to where I am because of the transformation that has occurred at the University Hospital Center", but this is something that is forgotten.

We also saw the new parking building, which will finally solve the whole problem of car movement and parking on the flowerbeds, because it will accommodate all the cars that enter the territory of QSUNT.  There are about 700 or so cars that park during the day in the territory, while the parking lot has 1400 spaces, so it will accommodate all the cars that drive there. Plus, it will also serve the surrounding community, creating income that will be shared between QSUNT and the Albanian Development Fund.

Dhe kjo do të bëjë që ndërkohë gjithë territori i QSUNT-së sot, që është faktikisht rreth 80 mijë metra katrorë territor i lirë, të bëhet parku më i madh urban i Tiranës, duke krijuar një atmosferë tërësisht tjetër, ku rrugët e makinave të ndahen midis rrugë këmbësorësh edhe rrugë për makinat e shërbimit", tha Rama.

Më tej kreu i qeverisë theksoi se buxheti i vitit 2026 për shëndetësinë do të sigurojë mbulimin me barna në të gjithë sistemin onkologjik.

“Tani, përsa i përket vitit që vjen, ne kemi disa gjëra pozitive për shëndetësinë, e cila faktikisht ka marrë 50 milionë euro më shumë sesa këtë vit. Nuk janë pak për buxhetin tonë dhe ka marrë 15 milionë euro ekstra vetëm për barnat onkologjike, shumë së cilës do t’i shtohet edhe një 15 milionësh tjetër në mesin e vitit të ardhshëm për të pasur një rimbursim domethënës të barnave onkologjike, në shërbimin parësor dhe për ta siguruar mbulimin me barna në të gjithë sistemin onkologjik, të cilin do ta transformojmë faktikisht në mënyrë që gjithë presioni i madh që vjen mbi onkologjikun në Tiranë, të shpërndahet me rijetëzimin e sistemit në spitalet rajonale, duke garantuar që protokollet dhe i gjithë mbulimi me barna, të jenë garanci për pacientët në të gjithë territorin.

Faktikisht, kemi vendosur në buxhet kapacitet domethënës për të rimbursuar 400 mijë pacientë, se flasin shumë njerëzit, “jo po kur është shëndetësia falas”, “jo ku është shëndetësia falas”, po faktikisht gjithë këto gjëra që ndodhin këtu janë pjesë e këtij vizioni edhe faktikisht janë krejt ndryshe nga si ndodh në vende të tjera.

Më tutje, patjetër që do të vazhdojmë me transformimin e QSUNT-së për të mbyllur edhe çfarë ka mbetur pa u mbyllur, ndërkohë që ambicia është për të për të ngritur Institutin Kombëtar të Tumoreve dhe për të pasur një rrjet kombëtar për të adresuar këtë problem që bëhet gjithmonë e më i madh, jo në Shqipëri, por kudo ku kanceri po prek gjithmonë e më shumë njerëz”, tha kryeministri.

Ai foli edhe për rritjen e pagave për mjekët dhe infermierët ku shtoi se do të bëhet indeksimi vjetor i pagës mbi bazën e vjetërsisë në punë.

“Ndërkohë që, ju e dini tani, por do vazhdojmë të rrisim pagat për mjekët, edhe patjetër do vazhdojmë të rrisim pagat edhe për infermierët. Faktikisht do të rritet 135 euro në muaj dhe në ndërkohë është vendosur edhe diçka tjetër për herë të parë, që nuk e kemi patur mundësinë ta vendosim përpara që do të bëjmë dhe një vlerësim në punë.

Do të bëhet faktikisht indeksimi vjetor i pagës mbi bazën e vjetërsisë në punë dhe kjo do të jetë një shtesë tjetër që do të vlejë, qoftë për mjekët, qoftë për infermierët apo për teknikët e shkencave mjekësore, gjë që shkon plus asaj rritjes për të cilën unë fola.

"In the meantime, we will certainly continue with the rest of the plan to increase digitalization qualitatively, and to introduce artificial intelligence as much as possible and as quickly as possible into the processes of treating patients by the health service," said Rama. /CNA
