“Pressure on the administration and use of state resources”/

The OSCE-ODIHR preliminary report on the May 11 parliamentary elections was published today.

The report emphasizes that in these elections, for the first time, external voting and the combined list formula will be used.

Regarding the election campaign, the OSCE says in its preliminary report that it is calm on the ground, but characterized by aggressiveness on social media. The OSCE says that pressure was exerted on the administration and the use of state resources was used for the campaign.

The OSCE report states that campaign financing remains irregular in relation to declarations of funding from third parties.

" Voters and the diaspora"

There are 3.7 million registered voters, including 245,000 Albanians abroad. Diaspora voting will be done by mail and has been accompanied by logistical challenges and concerns about security and delays.

Campaign and funding

The campaign has been calm on the ground, but aggressive on social media, with accusations of corruption, pressure on the administration and use of state resources. 94 complaints have been registered with the CEC.
