"Why don't you resign, you have the mayor in prison?"/ Rama,

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the next episode of the "Sy M'Sy" column, answered questions from commentators on social networks.

One of them asks him why he hasn't resigned yet when the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, is in prison.

The Prime Minister responded by praising Altin Dumani and SPAK.

"Where have you seen these resignations with an association that I don't understand at all. The history of investigative and judicial processes is the hope of the big swamp and the small swamps. Those who cannot achieve in the electoral field with the people think they can achieve it by encouraging SPAK and thinking that SPAK will dissolve the SP and on the other hand by exerting ridiculous pressure that how can this be voted on when half of the government is in prison.

The people are a step above you and they don't buy this kind of propaganda. Because the people have a memory and they have a reason. Why didn't it happen before that someone in power was investigated and accused, convicted, why didn't it happen before? It happened because of you or your swamp.

You are not the beneficiary of those millions that come out of the swamp. Do you know where those 6 million came from, I don't know, or do the patriots?

This theory doesn't work at all, not at all, zero.

The Socialist Party will achieve the best results under my leadership as the fact of establishing equality before the law is evident.

Do you know Altin Dumani, do you know who he is? He is a prosecutor with integrity, courage and professionalism. That's how they show him and that's how it seems to be.

I don't know him personally. I know the work and the facts. Since he came to the leadership of SPAK, the fight for equality has gone to another level. You know that Altin Dumani didn't come from the moon and wasn't brought by ship from another country, you know that he is an Albanian born here in our country and with a career of many years as a prosecutor. Why hadn't you heard of this Dumani before? He has passed the vetting process, you can't suspect him of any filth, despite the fact that the swamp has tried to throw its scum over his head.

It's the story of the swamp, not his, because they do their duty, they face the sludge.

"How is it possible that a man who has been a prosecutor for so many years has not once summoned a politician or a high-ranking figure? Was he afraid? No, I don't think so. But he had no power because he was disarmed. He was not part of the scum that was cleaned out by the vetting. He was disarmed," Rama said./ CNA
