"It is a challenging time for the energy sector"/ Balluku: We continue

The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, was at a presentation in Fier today. At this meeting, details were shared of the achievements in the energy sector and further projects in this sector in the plan for Albania 2030.

In her speech, Balluku emphasized the importance of the energy sector, especially in these challenging times for this sector.

Balluku said that through projects for more solar parks, a new energy pole is being created.

Balluku added that these projects are also favored by Albania's geographical situation.

"The private sector, with strong initiatives, has built solar parks on the western side. Of the 80% of renewable energy, 10% comes from solar parks. A new energy pole is being created.

In this period we have launched an in-depth study that will give us a map of how the future of the energy sector will continue. Times are challenging. Yesterday we received information about total black-outs in Spain and Portugal. This state of emergency comes from the collapse of the network.

Today we are focused not only on production, but also on transmission. And this is not only allowed by the geographical situation. We will start building solar parks in other areas as well. As is the case of Erseka or Delvina”, said Balluku./CNA
