DP lobbying contract/ Celibashi: We have no obligation to ask the DP for this

The State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, held a public session this Monday, where he discussed a number of issues related to the parliamentary elections of May 11. Celibashi also spoke about one of the latest political developments before the elections.

When asked if he was familiar with the DP's lobbying contract and whether there are elements of violations in it, Celibashi responded by saying that this contract is not on the list of documentation required by the CEC for political parties.

Celibashi added that once they have this contract, they will be able to provide their comments.

"Parties are obliged to report annual income and expenses. The report is submitted no less than 60 days before the election deadline. The party and the alliance in this case as well. Every document is deposited.

"We do not have this contract and we have no obligation to ask the DP for it, beyond speculation. The moment we have this contract, we will also give our assessment and comment on this document," Celibash told CNA.
