Democratic Party MP Tomor Alizoti, invited to Syri TV, spoke about the integration process and the situation in the country. Alizoti said that Albania today is not democratic at all and is heading towards an autocracy.
The Democrat stated that Albania today is controlled by cartels, by organized crime.
Further, the democrat stated that there is no need for someone from Europe to come and tell him what is happening in Albania, as it is well known that if you are not connected to the strongest, you cannot enjoy democracy.
"Today, the Albania that we are discussing and talking about, is it more democratic? Albania is absolutely not more democratic. Albania today has taken a path that is going and is stabilizing, to put it simply, it is becoming more concrete in autocracy than in democracy. So there are two opposing elements. And since the public and media discussion is very focused on technical issues, technique is the service of the goal. So it is the procedure of the goal of a country that seeks to democratize. This Albania that we are talking about today has almost a large part of its youth in emigration. This Albania that we are talking about today is really controlled, because I don't want to make this ranking that gangs, it is really controlled by organized crime, by cartels.
"There is no need because we, apart from their assessment that these are valid, there is no need for someone to come from Belgium, or someone from Italy, from England, from Germany, from an honorable country, to tell us what is happening in Albania. We know that in Albania, if you don't have two friends, if you are not, if you are not with the strong and if you are weak yourself, you have no chance to be free and to live, to enjoy democracy ," said Alizoti.
