Territorial Hearing/Balluku: The 6 municipalities of Fier should be preserved,

The political leader of the Socialist Party for the Fier region, Belinda Balluku, spoke after the hearing held by the Territorial Reform Commission.

Balluku said that what is important for the region she leads is to preserve the 6 municipalities.

The MP stated that today's hearing discussed the creation of 4 large regions that will perform tasks that cannot be performed by municipalities today.  

 

" It was a very interesting session, despite the political overtones. I would like to thank the Commission for Reform. Citizens touched on key and important points for the Territorial Reform. There was clear evidence, especially from small municipalities, that the merger of communes into smaller municipalities has worked. For us, it is important that all 6 municipalities in the Fier region are preserved, as Patos and Roskovec are municipalities with full financial performance. We also have municipalities with a strong identity, such as the case of Mallakastra, which cannot be included in larger municipalities. The creation of regions was discussed, which will perform all those tasks that municipalities today cannot perform ," said Balluku.
