The Minister of Interior, Besfort Lamallari, spoke in today's plenary session about the election of Skënder Hita as head of the State Police.
Lamallari, referring to statements that Hita had been elected previously, said that only today was the decision to promote the police chief approved.
The Minister stated that the competition for the election of the police chief was also supervised by the EU. Lamallari further said that every police chief must also take into account the mud that the opposition will throw at them.
Addressing the opposition, Lamallari told them that they would receive the answer in the next session.
" Just today the decision to promote Skënder Hita was approved. Unfortunately for the new leader and anyone who comes, he will take into account the opposition's mud. Hita is a career officer. The competition was also supervised by the EU.
"And the State Police is politicized. Wave the Albanian flag. Shame on you. Wait until the next session because that's where you will see it ," said Lamallari.
