The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements made this morning.
Berisha has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of deceiving regarding oil prices and the role of the Transparency Board. According to him, the Board is in the protection of companies and not citizens.
The chief democrat demanded a reduction in the fuel tax, while also criticizing Rama's statements on foreign investments, emphasizing the lack of new investors.
FULL RESPONSE:
The deceptions in Edi Rama's Sunday monologue have become like the tales of Nastya. Today, he had chosen to talk about oil and to deceive the citizens that the board has nothing to do with prices, while his board yesterday announced the price increase, from the 203 lek it had previously announced to 215 lek, after a public letter that the supporters of the oil companies wrote, proving that that board is in defense of the companies and not the citizens.
Again, I emphasize that the foundation of the statospheric price of oil in Albania is Edi Rama's government tax on oil of 1.1 euros. Therefore, its reduction should be a demand of all Albanian citizens. Edi Rama in his monologue spoke about foreign investments, about a conference with thousands of participants, in which in fact the big absentees in Albania are. I want to inform the Albanians that, during these 12 years, the only small investments in Albania have been contracted investments, all of which were from the DP.
There was the Devoll cascade, which Edi Rama mocked and ridiculed several times before. There was the trans Adriatic gas pipeline, which today is more precious than ever for the whole of Europe and as is known in its contracting, Albania played a decisive role. There was Shell, which invested billions in Albania, but unfortunately did not find, there is no major investor, absolutely no serious investor who has come and placed their investments in Albania during these years, but on the contrary, the giant investors have left, who planned to invest 1.5 billion euros in the Gulf of Laëz alone, and many other investors.
Roads that are collapsing, all of which were built by Edi Rama's clientele, because with e-Albania he excludes foreigners from participating in tenders, because the time that e-Albania responds to them is 38 days, while the tenders have been completed within 34 days.
So, we are dealing with a cycle of deception. Finally, Edi Rama declared that he will start the dialogue. Stigmatized, discredited before the Albanians with the Balluku and AKSHI files that prove that Lubi Balluku and Edi Rama are the main thieves of public funds worth billions of euros that proved that AKSHI is a company of his Lindas, of Ergys Agas, now discredited before the Albanians, but no longer before the international community, will begin the campaign of deception and lies with his controlled media and with the militant membership of the SP. In this case, I call on the citizens to throw eggs and tomatoes at the representatives of the criminal organization represented by Edi Rama, who recently decided to use the criminal mandates to protect the thefts of Lubi Balluku and Edi Rama. Do not give them any other assessment, except eggs and tomatoes in their direction wherever you see them on the streets, squares, in the halls of Albania. / CNA
